A. Learn and understand them B. Develop and adapt them (1) stances and footwork - for balance and movement (2) blocking techniques - to defend an attack (3) hand striking techniques - to attack or counter (4) kicking techniques - to attack or counter
3. APPLICATION - (proper use of techniques) A. Learn what technique to apply in each situation against: (1) grabs, holds, locks, and chokes (2) bare handed strikes and kicks (3) weapon strikes and threats (4) multiple attacks

STRATEGY - (a plan of attack and defense) A. Know how to read your adversary's intentions, abilities, and weakness: when to attack, when to defend and counter.

REFLEXES - (natural and conditioned) A. Learn to observe or anticipate an attack and respond without having to think about what to do.

POWER - (develop different degrees of force and penetration) A. Demonstrate B. Discouraged C. Disable D. Damage E. Death
7. SPEED A. Develop the speed and quickness to deliver one or several techniques without your opponent being able to defend or evade.
